Tour of Peter Martensen's 'Diary from Tasilik'

Join a guided tour and get a very special insight into Peter Martensen's exhibition 'Diary from Tasilik' when our guide talks about the artist and the works.

The exhibition presents paintings and short films by Peter Martensen and is structured as a diary. The artist's long-standing practice of diary writing is directly incorporated into the exhibition through texts, reflections and pictorial diary notes.

Numerous small open-air studies function both as independent works and as a foundation for larger studio works, all of which are included in the exhibition. Gain an insight into an exciting and completely unique artistic work.

'Tasilik' is the name of the scenic property in Odsherred, where Peter Martensen has had his home and studio since 2010. The name means 'by the lake' in Greenlandic and was given by polar explorer Knud Rasmussen, who spent time there.

Peter Martensen's visual universe invites the viewer into an experience that is both alluring and enigmatic.
