Step into a local time warp where architect Marius Pedersen lived with his wife.
He designed 10 of the houses on Bakkekammen – a street close to the fjord in Holbæk – and the house remains completely untouched.
We begin the tour with a walk through the neighborhood, where we will hear about the ideas behind the very special building style, which was called 'Better Building Style'.
We look into the garden at Bakkekammen 40, which was one of the main works from 1917, and end with a tour of Bakkekammen 45, which was Marius Pedersen's home.
The house was built according to Marius Pedersen's drawings in 1929.
He lived and worked here until his death in 1965.
The widow stayed until 2007, after which the house became a museum, and it is a very special experience to step inside.
The house is completely untouched with the original furniture and color choices on the walls and doors, and it's like stepping into a time warp.
There used to be an orchard on the property, and some of the old fruit trees still stand in the lush garden behind the house. Of course, we'll also take a walk in the garden.
