Dig into the past – Archaeology for the whole family

During the winter holidays we open the free archaeological workshop!
Monday to Friday between 10:30 and 15:00 you can try a metal detector, dig and wash real finds – there are things to try both outdoors and indoors.

In the garden you can find coins with a metal detector, and it's actually not as easy as it sounds!

Also try washing genuine archaeological finds free of sand – are they bones, potsherds or something else entirely?

Inside you can dig and find exciting finds to investigate.

Can you complete all the tasks and become junior archaeologists?

As always, the play loft is also open, where children can play on the ship that needs to be loaded with sacks – or fish for magnetic fish!

Children have free admission – adults pay 75 kroner in admission.
