Join a walking tour that delves into Kalundborg's medieval history and experience the city in a whole new way!
The high town is a bit of a gem when it comes to Kalundborg's medieval history – there are fascinating stories hidden everywhere. We start at Kalundborg Museum's model town, which shows what the town looked like in the Middle Ages. Here we also hear a little about Esbern Snare and see the seven-meter-long, woven Crusader tapestry with motifs from the town's history. It is woven in wool yarn in many colors.
Then we head towards the Church of Our Lady with its impressive five towers! Close to the church is also the Stone House, which is Denmark's best preserved medieval residential house.
It has had many functions over time, including being a hospital.
We will also visit the ruins of the castle that Esbern Snare had built, and around which Kalundborg grew.
Come along and get a vivid insight into the history of our city!
It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
