Research project from Museum Vestsjælland featured in 'Book a Scientist' / Researcher from Museum Vestsjælland featured in 'Book a Scientist'
We are proud to have Trine Borake, museum curator and archaeologist, in this year's edition of Book a Scientist! Book a Scientist is a nationwide, free initiative under Research Day, an annual science festival organized by the Ministry of Education and Research.
Anyone interested in Denmark can 'book' a researcher for free to come and give a lecture about their research in week 17, when the festival is held. The purpose is to create meetings between researchers and the public to disseminate knowledge and qualify the public debate.
Trine Borake can be booked for her lecture 'What detector finds tell us. War and conflict in the Iron Age and Viking Age' – where she talks about her research project, where she has reviewed detector finds in West Zealand and particularly focused on weapon finds.
The lecture reveals the results of the research project and tells about the latest knowledge about war and conflict in the Iron Age and the Viking Age.
